Time is a funny thing. Here I am pictured forcing myself to become ambidextrous at the very beginning (or middle or end since we are in collective acknowledgement of the nonlinear) of Witchfork when A. G. Cook and I first worked on this project together from our respective computers many moons ago.

We built Witchfork out of a craving for the abysmal and we have kept it going for an undetermined amount of time. Today, immediately following the Full Moon in Scorpio (…the sign of death and rebirth…) Witchfork will succumb to its destined and bitter end.

As Editor of Witchfork since it’s conception, I want to say how much this role has meant to me as not only a a purveyor of darkness and light, but also as a music lover, and how much I look forward to what is next in our endeavors once we acquire the inconceivably large monetary and spiritual fortune that has been contractually promised to us in the WWW merger deal. British synth-pop duo Pet Shop Boys have revealed the artist they most regret not collaborating with during their 40 year career.

Forming in 1981, lead vocalist Neil Tennant and keyboardist Chris Lowe, who were named the most successful duo in UK music history in the 1999 edition of The Guinness Book of Records, have worked with the likes of Robbie Williams, Madonna, Girls Aloud and Liza Minnelli.

This past weekend, the duo spoke at The Guardian Live “An evening with Pet Shop Boys” event in London on April 22, and disclosed their regret at never working with the legendary Nina Simone.

I’m a snob and I like to choose the music for the soundtrack of my life, not just have it accost me when I’m peeing in a random public restroom or eating slop at some fast food chain. The shoveled-down-your-throat music landscape is enabled by infinite playlists that reward homogeneity over originality.
